App mode: Play
The app always launches in the Play mode in which you can solve the puzzle currently displayed in the workspace.
Controls
You can put digits on empty squares by touch/mouse or keyboard as follows.
- Touch/mouse: Tap/click on the square and choose a digit on the radial pad.
- Keyboard: Move input-cursor to the square by cursor keys and hit a digit key(1-9 or 0 for clear).
- Hybrid: Tap/click on the square and hit a digit key on the keyboard.
- Hover + key: Place mouse cursor on the square and hit a digit key on the keyboard.
Drop-down menu in play mode
- Time: Display duration of the current puzzle-play.
- Hint: Lets the app attempt to show marks on fillable squares based on deductive inference.
- Restart: Clears all the digits input to start a new play. Time and Undo queue are to be reset on restarts.
- Solve: Opens the dialog window to let the app solve the puzzle.
- Analysis: Analyzes the current puzzle. See Analysis results for details.
- Export: Exports the current puzzle* to a CSV file.
- Print: Opens the window for printing out the current puzzle (excluding digits you input).
*Export function can work only with Custom puzzles you made or Private puzzles obtained through paid subscription.
Undo/Redo
You can undo/redo inputs whenever possible.
